We built this because we lived the alternative.

Nova’s Nests was founded by two people who spent too many weeks in hotel rooms that never felt like anywhere — and decided extended displacement deserved better than a mini-fridge and a stiff mattress.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT

Dylan Thompson-Sevcik & Keith Sheridan, Founders

After both experiencing the reality of long hotel stays — weeks and sometimes months in rooms that lacked comfort, space, and any sense of home — Dylan and Keith set out to build something better: furnished housing that actually delivers a home-away-from-home experience, no matter how long the stay lasts.

What makes them good at this specifically goes beyond hospitality instinct. It’s discipline under pressure, comfort with compliance, and a working understanding of what veterans, service members, and displaced families are actually going through — because they’ve stood close enough to that world to know it firsthand.

Being veteran-owned isn’t a line in our footer, it shapes how we move. It’s why we stay calm when a request is high-pressure and the person on the other end isn’t, why we understand government procurement timelines without needing them explained, and why, when a veteran or service member needs housing near a VA medical center or a training assignment, we already understand what that stay actually requires — not just logistically, but personally.

INSURANCE & ALE

  • No — we work strictly B2B, through the carrier, adjuster, or ALE coordinator. There always needs to be a business backing the placement.

  • Options are typically available within 24 hours, with most placements moving from request to move-in within a week.

  • Full receipts and invoicing built for claims documentation from day one.

GOVERNMENT & VETERAN

  • We hold active SDVOSB and VOSB status, SBA VetCert verification, and an active SAM.gov registration. Our UEI, CAGE, and DUNS numbers are available in the site footer and on request.

  • Yes — several of our federal contracts, including our South Texas VA work, began in markets with no existing housing options.
